City of Rocklin

Greg is a lifelong Californian, born and raised in San Jose, and moved his family to Rocklin in 2003. He immediately got involved in the community by participating in the second Leadership Rocklin class in 2004. Greg continued as a steering committee member for Leadership Rocklin from 2005-2012. Greg was first elected to the Rocklin city council in 2012 and reelected in 2016 and 2020.

He is currently serving as Councilmember, Greg’s professional career spans 38 years in the technology sector, the last 20 years owning and operating his own engineering design firm. Recently Greg switched careers and is now the controller for a Rocklin based specialty landscape company.

In his role on the council, Greg represents the city on a number of boards and committees. His current assignments include:

  • Boardmember – Pioneer Community Energy, Founding Boardmember
  • Board Chair – Placer County Air Pollution Control District
  • Member of the Mayor’s committee with the city’s of Lincoln and Roseville
  • Greg’s recent appointment to the board of Greater Sacramento Economic Council is his third appointment to this board.

Greg and his wife Kristin have two adult daughters and are enjoying the experience of being empty nesters.  Greg’s hobbies include road biking, hiking, cooking, playing tennis and boating.  He and Kristin also spend time exploring the western US towing their Airstream trailer.
